STEPS TO SUCCESSFUL HOMEOWNERSHIP
STEP 1: Attend our Homebuyer 101 Orientation for an introduction to the home buying process, home purchase team members, mortgage qualifying and the importance of credit. No fee for this class.
STEP 2: After Homebuyer 101, meet with your housing advisor to create a specific next steps homeownership plan. During this step, you will also determine eligibility for down payment programs, review your credit, and develop a plan to save money for your home purchase. There is a $25 fee for the appointment to help cover the cost of your credit report. You can pay the fee at our Class Payment page
STEP 3: When you are ready to shop for a home, attend our comprehensive Homebuyer Education class. After completing this step, you’ll receive a certificate of completion of AHP’s Homebuyer Education Program. Fees for this class range from $75-$99 depending on which class you sign up for.
To get started, first review our counseling agreement and disclosures, then find the next Homebuyer 101 class that works best with your schedule.
