HOW WE CAN ASSIST:

  • Assess your financial situation

  • Advocate on your behalf with your lender

  • Submit a hardship request on your behalf to your lender

  • Assist you in preparation for settlement conferences

NO COST TO YOU:

The Affordable Housing Partnership receives financial support from the NYS Office of the Attorney General to provide assistance to NYS homeowners. As a HUD approved nonprofit, we cannot charge you for services.

 

HELP FOR HOMEOWNERS IN THE
TOWN OF COLONIE AND THE CITY OF ALBANY

Thanks to CDBG CARES funding, a financial relief program is available to help with delinquent mortgage payments or property taxes. To be eligible, households need to earn less than 80% of area median income, the delinquency must be the result of financial distress due to COVID, and you must show that you are able to resume payments. RECEIVE MORE COMPREHENSIVE ASSISTANCE

If you would like help in negotiating with your lender or in submitting a modification or hardship request, then additional documents will be needed. By providing the information requested, your housing advisor will be able to describe the best options given your situation.

  1. Download and complete our Mortgage Information Package. It is in a fillable pdf format. Complete as much as you can. Once it is completed, print the document as a pdf to save your changes and email to us at staff@ahphome.org.

  2. Collect and submit the following documents via fax (518-434-1767) or by email above.

    1. Income Documentation:

      1. most recent set of paystubs covering one full month (2 if paid every other week; 4 if paid weekly)

      2. documentation of any other income (benefit award letters; child support order; rental income)

      3. documentation of income of any other household members if they are contributing toward your housing payment

    2. Last 2 months of bank statements

    3. Most recent mortgage statement for all loans on your property

    4. Government issued ID
